Environmental Policy
The environment is one of our top priorities and is our greatest resource. Every day, we take action in order to minimize the impact that our activities have on the environment in which we evolve.
Here are some of the concrete ways we take care of the environment at Cime Aventure:
- A daily maximum number of visitors has been established with respect to each river section, after consultation sessions with the principal stakeholders involved in Bonaventure.
- The development of accessible camping and rest areas for visitors according to the current ecological norms. The deterioration of these areas is thus minimized and access is facilitated for visitors.
- The exclusive use of biodegradable and organic detergents on the Cime Aventure site.
- Our employees as well as our guests recycle, reuse and compost.
Moreover, Cime provides you with a wide variety of local products from Gaspésie in order to encourage local businesses while offering an authentic experience.
Ecotourism: Form of tourism which aims at providing access to natural areas while preserving its integrity. It incorporates interpretation activities which explain the natural or cultural components of the area, promote a respectful attitude towards the environment, call for the development of sustainable notions and are beneficial to the socioeconomics of the local and regional communities.
